College football week 8 discussion

Okay guys last week I had a good feeling that 2 of the five SEC teams I mentioned would go down. I had no clue that all five would go down though.

This week I am not in love with too much. Yeah I picked a few dogs in the SEC but just nothing really stands out yet. I am going to take a good look tonight and tomorrow at this weeks card. Would anyone like to get the ball rolling this week? We had a great discussion last week with lots of people participating. Hopefully we can do the same this week. Carpet, Woodee, Bret,Kman and anyone else with an opinion right or wrong. No score kept here, just opinions and civil conversation. I did like Kmans stat on Mizzou. Let us hear from you!!

I LIKE NAVY to cover 6

I also like Illinois to cover 10.5 vs Michigan State vs a top defense. If Indiana can score 28 points on State then Illinois can also. Illinois defense is nothing to write home about but they are better than Indiana by a long shot. This is going to be a slug fest and field goals will be huge.

BAMA should roll over TN by 36

Iowa state + 13 over okie state. Isu can win this one su. They will come out very motivated after that Baylor shit show.

Northwestern +4 over Iowa. Still riding the purple. Iowa had good showing at osu but may be in a let down spot.

Tcu -2 over Texas. Just a gut feeling.

South Carolina +3 over muzzou. Liked it a lot but kind of rethinking it.

Okay after just scanning through this weeks gauntlet here are a few that stand out to me:

Oklahoma- I just think they are playing better even with the Texas upset and the home team has won the last six against the number.
S. Florida - Louisville seems to have trouble there
Mich st.- Illinois other than maybe one weekend just looks bad to me.
NW- this one is just a hunch
Florida st - Yep I know off a big win with a team that gives them trouble and Miami on the horizon. I won't matter! Seminoles big!

Well I don't usually like to post any outside the SEC but you have take a shot now and then.

I love Okie too. I think they win by DD. Texas Tech has been good but they have not seen anything close to Okie especially on the road.

I was wrong that the home team in the OKL/TT series have won the last 6 straight. Actually the home team has lost the last two straight up and before that the home team had won 5 against the number. May have to rethink that one a little.

Okie is kind of like Florida state last week. I know I am right but cannot pull the trigger for the game of the week play! Need to trust my gut.

Here are some games I like....

NEB -10..They have been playing very well. Had an extra week to prepare for this one.

Ball st -10..Ive been riding them lately and ive been going against Akron a lot too so why not..Ball st is 7-2 ATS in last 7 conf games while akron is 5-11 over their last 16 conf games.

San jose st. -6.5..San jose has been playing through injuries some injuries but they have had some younger guy step up big. Wyoming was impressive in the beginning of the year now they have dropped 2 in a row one being to colo st (52-22). San jose st beat colo st 34-27. Little side note Fales was offered an invited walk on to wyoming after a year in JC..He attended half of a semester and left becuz it was clear they werent going to offer him a a scholarship becuz they were high on Brett Smith. Now he gets to face off against the school that didnt want him. Oh and his dad lives in Wyo so he probably doesnt want to lose lol.

Wyoming is up to a +9 dog now. A blurb I read in a write-up mentioned that Wyoming was 16-4 in their last 20 as road dogs. Might be worth a shot if it keeps rising. Extra value since they've played so poorly last couple games.

Wyomings d is pretty bad. I like them too but don't know if I can play them unless the lines gets even higher. Seems like a lot of people are on San Jose tho. May be a late play for me.

Navy is down to 5. Glad I got the 7. I think carpet found a sharp play there.

I am going to play Minnesota and penny state close to kick off to get the best number. I think one of those teams pulls an upset.

I am loving the Middies at home in this upset.

Pitt struggled vs Old Dominion last week in stopping the run. Pitt has had one short week to prepare to stop a triple option run game that Navy employs.

Navy-Marine Corps stadium will be rocking- and my money is on the Naval Academy
