I always pride myself to be able to handicap the SEC. Last year who saw Auburn who finished last the year before and Mizzou to play in the SEC championship? Not me.....I knew very early AU and Mizz was pretty darn good but not before the season started.
This year and it is still early but I see Florida has the best defense in the SEC. Offensively they will be and are better and the injuries last year decimated them. Georgia looks like the bomb offensively and they are surely better on the defensive side of the ball. One of these two teams and I will give Tennessee an outside shot if they can pull off the big upset.
The west...Alabama was the slight favorite over Auburn but think about it, all the years Alabama has been the best in the west they had a clear choice at qb. Not the case this year..Auburn is really strong but schedule will be really tough...LSU is young but talented but won't win.. My choice is still Ole Miss. They beat a very bad Vandy team today and that was no surprise. What goes unseen is the domination they did it with. They in my opinion will beat both Alabama and Auburn and maybe hell froze over before that has happened.
West- Ole Miss
East- Florida only because of the defense..
