I've used software by the name of PDS. I'll probably get it again for this football season and contribute if you guys put up a forum.

By the way, if you're going to put up a forum, football starts in 8 DAYS!!!

      Stats

Yes - the stats are not 100% accurate and I complained about that to Jim. My impression is that he gets his data from an early source and the errors are probably the result of "unofficial" box scores rather than a data entry or proofing error.

I did detail some stats that were wrong and if I remember correctly it was DPP100 and OPP100 for sure. I went to three different sources and did some quick math. The ferret was off - not by much, but math is a science, not a philosophy. 2 + 2 should always equal 4 and when it equals 3.98 something is wrong. I asked Jim if he updated the stats when they became widely available, but he doesn't.

The ferret had a phenominal record last year, so maybe it doesn't matter and given the choice between 100% accurate stats and a huge winning record, I think we'd all choose the winning record. Truth is, I'd like both AND situational analysis

I'll be using the ferret (unless Jim gets mad at me again) and following the picks very closely. After last years performance, I'd be a fool not to

        Stats (again)

From week 10 last year . . . . I din't include the thread link because it is full of Jim and I arguing over the other aspect of the software I disagreed with. No sense in beating a dead horse.

The Ferret record at week 10 was:
        49-16

Tell ya what - if he goes 49-16 again, I'll stop complaining about the stats being inaccurate
        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

For instance - week #10 in WinPicks shows:

        Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4.75
        New York Giants 5.43
        Atlanta Falcons 5.50
        Jacksonville Jaguars 5.53
        Dallas Cowboys 5.60
        Seattle Seahawks 5.77
        Arizona Cardinals 5.81
        Carolina Panthers 5.93
        Philadelphia Eagles 5.94
        San Diego Chargers 6.06

        And Ferret has:

        Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4.76
        New York Giants 5.21
        Atlanta Falcons 5.50
        Jacksonville Jaguars 5.53
        Dallas Cowboys 5.60
        Arizona Cardinals 5.66
        Seattle Seahawks 5.77
        Carolina Panthers 5.93
        Philadelphia Eagles 5.94
        Green Bay 6.12
        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
        As Always - Good Luck,

        Sonny

49-16. Man, I'm thinking now of getting this thing. That would be some good Christmas $$ right there!
Do you know what his record was the previous year on his posts?
