The Colorado Buffoloes take on the CSU Rams in the opener and this year things are different. The Buffaloes are underdogs for the 1st time in this series.

Colorado has some talent at RB and WR, but are starting a sophmore QB Joel Klatt?? What do we know about Klatt? He went 11 of 18 and a TD in the spring game and he was a baseball player in the SD Padre farm system! The strength of the Buffs in the past has been the running game with only one returning starter in the Off. Line, I expect some breakdowns in the early season The Colorado Defense is solid with 7 returning starters and A great defensive performance is the only way the Buffs sneak out a victory.

Colorado State returns talent at QB with senior Brad Van Pelt (A cocky and confident returning QB) and a nice stable of RB's including Colorado transfer Marcus Houston (Colorado's most prized recruit in years, why did he transfer? Something is fishy about the Colorado program)

Colorado is a notorious slow starter in dropping their last 3 openers, and add to the fact that some assistant coaching changes make this year a big question mark for the Buffs.

CSU coach Sonny Lubick is one of the best coaches in CFB and has done more with less talent than any coach in the NCAA. Big Edge to CSU in QB and coaching and all other things being equal. I look for a 10 point CSU victory.
