  • Hawaii @ UNLV

Last year UNLV was 1-5 ATS at home while Hawaii was 3-2 ATS on the road. Since 1999, Hawaii is 10-5 as a road dog. Now, some lines have this game as a pick'em while others have UNLV as a 1.5 favorite. That is strictly because they are playing at home. Hawaii can put up some serious yardage tonight considering that UNLV gave up an average of 233 YPG last season through the air. They also yielded a mediocre 162 rushing YPG and allowed 30.5 PPG. After 2 consecutive road games, UNLV is 1-1 ATS. Last season, they beat Nevada at home after 2 road games against teams that put up alot of points (Oregon St. 47 pts. and Toledo 38 pts.) Their next 2 road games came against BYU and San Diego St. which they split SU. They came home and as 11 point favorites, got beat by Wyoming. The key thing to remember is that UNLV just hammered Wisconsin on the road last week allowing just 5 points. So, which team will show up? The one that was pounded by Kansas or the one that dominated Wisconsin? Considering that starting RB Larry Croom is questionable for tonights game and UNLV QB Kurt Nantkes was only 11/24 for 88 yds. passing against Wisconsin, we think the Reb's will have a hard time against a team in Hawaii that put up 32 on top 5 defense in USC. Of course, thats just our opinion...
