  • Wagerstreet payout problem HELP

    I am posting here because I know wagerstreet advertises through here so maybe you can help.

    I will make this quick short but if anyone wants the details i can give them.


    On Sunday Oct 12th I made a deposit for $300 from a second account i had with wagerstreet. I had permission for the account from Duey and as their website states "Only one (1) account allowed per person, per household unless authorized by the management." so I figure i am fine there

    I placed a 6 team parlay on NFL games that day and I won $5500

    Later in the day after I get back from the Jet game I call wagerstreet and told duey I won through my second account and he said no problem thats fine it was not a problem

    Well later that night I went to log in to my bank account that I made the transaction through and it wouldn't let me log in. I got worried and called Wagerstreet asking what would happen if the check bounced because I was concerned that I entered an invalid account and I couldn't verify it till the banks opened on Tuesday(monday bank holiday) I had not used this bank account in ages so I was concerned that maybe they closed it. So bob said ok you will have to see what happens I get back Monday October 20th talk to me then.

    Well Tuesday I go into my bank and I found out that to log in over the interent I use a different account number then what is on my checks. So I was worried for nothing at this point I went ahead and deposited $300 into my account. Yes there was no funds in the account on sunday but I have Overdraft protection of $1000 on my account so I knew the check clearing was not an issue, but i wanted to deposit the 300 anyways to prevent interest fees. I believe there is nothing wrong with that it should not be of bobs concern if i want to bet from overdraft protection.
    So in my eyes problem solved. I panicked for nothing.

    Well I call wagerstreet on friday and talk to Michelle asking her if the check had cleared yet and she said not yet. I said ok i will call on Monday when bob gets in and hopefully its cleared.

    I call monday talk to michelle again and she says it still has not cleared and bob will be in Tuesday so i said ok i will call tuesday.

    Tuesday comes i call and talk to bob. Bob says sorry your check came back invalid account number. I told bob that is impossible and he can call my bank and verify that its valid and their has to be a problem with the way they porcessed it. Bob says sorry goodluck there is nothing he is going to do.

    Well we come to today. After searching around for DebitVault(wagerstreets echeck porcesser) phone number I call them to verify what happened. I talk to carlos and he says that they never even processed a check for me. They said that they had only a cancelled check that they never even sent to my bank.
    And that there is no way bob could get an invalid account number since they never processed the check and for the check to stay pending for a week is impossible since it never was processed.

    Well here is the problem I have
    1.Bob and wagerstreet lying to me for a week saying the check is pending when they never submitted it.
    2.Bob lied to me saying it came back as invalid account number bacause i originally was scared that i typed in something wrong and him not knowing that i was incorrect he used that as the excuse.
    3. The fact that they cancelled my deposit because I won.

    Now I do realize alot of you are going to look at a couple points and think i was wrong, but remember I was given permission to have 2 accounts. I didn't make deposits to the both account from the same checking account i used diff accounts.
    And second I NEVER entered in the wrong account I only thought I might have and i didn't. And third dont get hung up on there was no money in my account because I have overdraft protection and needless to say even if i didnt the checks not clear on sunday and the first business day there was money in the account and as we all know checks clear based on your current balance not on what the balance is on the day it was written.

    No let me add on to this I am not a new player with Wagerstreet I have been playing there for 5 years and never had a problem. In the 3 weeks prior I had lost $1500 worth of echeck that were honored for and paid for. Why the one i win did bob all of a sudden think i was scamming him. Convienent how it works out for him. I have wagered well over $200,000 worth of money there over the past five years. I know bob and had many friendly converstation, I have corrected hunderds of lines for them, but yet he gets a small chance to not pay someone he takes it. I would understand if i was a first time player this happen but come on 5 years of playing with no problems and he screws me like this.

    Listen I would not even be here if the check processed and it was rejected by my bank as i would have no claim. But the problem here is i thought i could call bob up as a friend on that first sunday and explain to him my original concern and that i couldnt verify till tuesday. I didnt think he would turn around and cancell the check and never even give it a chance to clear and lie to me and say sorry it got kicked back for incorrect account number. Thats all i want a fair chance to prove that the check was fine I told him I would mail him the paper check and he could deposit and see him self it was valid.

    Should i Lose my winnings? Someone PLEASE HELP

    Also a $300 parlay is normal for me so it wasnt like i made an absurd bet that i usually do not make.

    I would like to let everyone know where i stand. I guess I am screwed. I talked to Bob and Check gateway(the actual company that posted this check). We conferenced ourselves in. My check was returned for one reason and only ONE reason this check processed as an ach debit and not as a check. My bank does NOT accept ach as it is not a check. This would have been simple if the transaction actually goes through as a check.

    I guess where we stand now is Bob opinion versus mine. He admits that I did not bounce the check due to funds, but at the same time he doesn't believe he is responsible for banking problems. And bobs opinion is if i had lost and this happened i would not have paid him to correct it. Which I could see his point but my only problem with that is i honered my 1300 worth of echecks prior that lost so why this one would i bounce and my 5 years of play.

    I stand at I put in legit info and due to my and probally everyone else's minimal knowledge of banking my check was returned. I think that if your are telling people you are processing a check and even telling people to get the info from the bottom of the check and the check number and processing the check in a diff matter, then notify the players even though it probally would be a foriegn language to a lot of us, but maybe we would ask our banks hey do you allow ach debits. I know other sportsbooks are 50/50 with this some post as checks and others as debits.

    Well needless to say we lie in a gray area neither of us was wrong in the check not clearing, but i guess when it boils down to it should only one get penalized. I understands bob's view if it was flipped around he would be the one to get penalized and i guess i can't fault him for that as I am sure many many people do this to him and will continue to do it to him. So I guess in his views he has grown a shell to prevent this from happening to him and he does not let his emotions impair his judgement, he sticks to his rules and wont bend it for anyone. I guess i cant fault him for it nor do i love it .

    Well there is nothing i can do from here its bobs opinions verseus mine and i guess i am out the 5,500. I can't do anything about it from here, bob has the knowledge of what happened which i wanted to make sure he had in making his decision.

    Well just wanted to clear everything. Bob and wagerstreet never cancelled the check like i thought, i had recieved incorrect info. I apologize to Bob and the staff of wagerstreet in implying that you did. I dont agree with bobs decision but i can't do anything about it. I know a lot of people dont't like wagerstreet and bob, but me up until this situation always got along with bob and enjoyed losing money to him. I still respect bob and wish him the best of luck in the future.

    I have changed my tone due to the fact in finding out that wagerstreet is not at fault or nor was I. Its just unfortunate that take the short end of the stick on this one. I am not going to bad mouth a book or someone if they really did not end up doing nothing wrong. Bob I hope I have cleared up everything in this matter and if you feel there is anything to add please do. I would just appreciate if you could try to not make me look like a pathetic scammer.

    FYI: Bob has never cut my limits, i have won parlays for 25,000 before and he has never cut my limit. He has also paid me promptly everytime in fact positive $36,000 since my account was open.
