    Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins

We'll go with the Over 41 1/2 tonight as the Philadelphia Eagles try and clinch their third consecutive NFC East title when they take on the Washington Redskins.

Philadelphia (11-4) had won nine straight games before losing at home in overtime to the 49ers last weekend. A win tonight gives them a chance for home field advantage throughout the play-offs. The Eagles offense has scored 28, 33, 26, 36, 34 and 28 points the last six games which is an average of almost 31 ppg. Meantime their defense is giving up 19 points per game during the same stretch. They have allowed at least 150 rushing yards in five consecutive games and last week 49ers running back Kevan Barlow steamrolled them for 154 yards. Their best linebacker in Carlos Emmons suffered a season-ending injury against San Francisco and his loss combined with the continued absence of Pro Bowl cornerback Troy Vincent are both important factors in our enthusiasm in playing the Over.

Excellent offense and poor run defense - no surprise then that the Eagles have played in five straight Overs.

Washington (5-10) have lost two straight and nine of their last eleven overall. Like the Eagles they have also struggled to contain the run and at 139 yards per game rank just 15th in the NFC. Against the Bears last weekend they gave up 191 yards and a touchdown on 40 carries. They have allowed 100+ yards rushing in 13 straight games so we expect Philly's three-pronged attack to get the job done tonight.

While the Redskins were shut-out by the Cowboys in their last home game, prior to that they were averaging more than 19 points per game at home this season and that kind of offensive production tonight would almost certainly result in an Over.

The last three meetings between these teams have resulted in scores of 52, 55 and 44 points.

Tonight we expect the Eagles to score between 27 and 34 points and Washington between 14 and 21.

    Recommended Play: Over 41 1/2
