  • Friday NBA preview and pick

    8.30pm ET
    Dallas Mavericks @ Milwaukee Bucks

The Dallas Mavericks go for their fourth straight win tonight but we're forecasting the Milwaukee Bucks to continue their stellar home form and post another victory at the Bradley Center.

Milwaukee have dropped their last two which were both on the road and are 15-16 SU this season. They last played Tuesday at Dallas and scored just 37 points in the first half which left them down by 20. They rallied to within 3 points on two occasions in the second half but couldn't quite get the job done.

"We played with a hunger and a passion in the second half," said Bucks top-scorer Michael Redd. "If we would have come out and done that at the start, we would have won this game. It's tough playing out of a hole the entire game." Expect them to come out motivated tonight to win the back end of this home-and-home set.

The Bucks have won and covered 7 of their last 8 at home beating the Pacers, Pistons, Nets, Bulls, Warriors, Celtics and 76ers by at least 4 points. They are 9-3 ATS this season against teams with a winning record.

Dallas have improved to 18-12 SU this season and third in the Midwest. While they have won three straight it's worth taking a closer look at those victories before being convinced that they are back to their best. They beat the Kings who were without leading scorer Peja Stojakovic, blew a 17-point lead before beating the slumping Grizzlies, and also blew that big lead before recovering late but failing to cover against the Bucks.

The Mavs have been bankroll burners at just 10-20 ATS this season and that horrible record is largely due to a 2-12 ATS mark on the road. Over the last three seasons they are just 7-16 ATS when installed as a road favorite of three points or less.

Milwaukee have won 10 of the last 14 meetings with the Mavericks, covering four straight in this series including two SU wins.

So tonight we have a very solid home team with revenge against a team that has had their struggles on the road...take the Bucks and enjoy what should be a great game.
