  • Monday NBA...Denver at Memphis

    8pm ET
    Denver Nuggets @ Memphis Grizzlies

We'll go with the red-hot Memphis Grizzlies tonight when they play host to the Denver Nuggets.

Memphis has won four straight and eight of nine to move 11 games above .500 for the first time in franchise history. At 33-22 SU overall this season they are in fourth place in the very strong Midwest division and have already beaten last year's franchise record of 29 victories. They last played Saturday night at Chicago and posted a 105-98 win after leading the Bulls by 23 points in the third quarter. The Grizzlies have won five straight at home by an average of 11 points per game and we're expecting them to get the job done again tonight.

Denver have dropped their first two on this road trip to fall back to 32-25 overall. They lost 102-98 to the struggling Magic on Friday night and followed that with a 97-81 loss at Miami on Saturday. In fact the Nuggets are just 1-4 SU and ATS recently on the road which is bad news for their chances tonight against a very solid home team. Even worse for the Nuggets is the fact that this is their third road game in four nights. The only other time this occurred this season Denver could score just 71 points and were routed 97-71 by a Lakers team that was missing Shaq, Kobe and the Mailman.

Overall this season the Grizzlies are a stellar 21-7 (.750) SU at home while the Nuggets are just 11-17 (.393) on the road.

Memphis hosted Denver back on January 25th and cruised to a 106-88 win as six point favorite's. Denver avenged that loss with an 86-83 home win two weeks back to continue the strong trend in this series...the host has won the last nine SU and has covered 7 of 9 during this stretch.

There are many other ATS trends pointing towards Memphis...they are 10-4 this season following 3+ wins, 11-6 after scoring 105+ points, 20-9 with revenge and 10-5 versus Midwest division opponents.

Tonight we'll go with a red-hot and rested home team against a tired team that hasn't played well on the road.
