  • 1 early CFB Play for Saturday

    Cincinnati Bearcats +15 1/2 vs.Ohio State Buckeyes

Buckeyes return only 9 starters (5 offense,4 defense)
They are breaking in a new quarterback (Justin Zwick-remember that name as this kid is good, real good!) But actually this kid should have started last season as Krenzel was horrendous.Bucks finished #93 in the land in offense last season and their running game is not all that great. While they do have the best linebacking corps in the country (It's not even debatable imo) they will suffer from lack of a pass rush and while they are counting on CB Dustin Fox as an anchor at corner,he does get burned a LOT and gets quite a few penalties against him for holding or interference. The other corner,Ashton Youboty, who nobody outside of Ohio has heard of,is great and will be an NFL corner in a few years.Ohio State will once again rely on their defense until Zwick learns the offense and in the non-conference games,Jim Tressell has already said they will use the 2 quarterback system thus giving playing time to Troy Smith. He is talented but has trouble reading defenses and they aren't gonna put him in to hand off all the time (read int's into this)Ohio State was 5-8 ats last season with a stronger team! Now we move on to UC Bearcats.
They have 16 starters back plus their qb of 3 years,Gino Guidugli, and they should have beaten the Buckeyes 2 years ago.Guidugli's receiver dropped the ball in the end zone on the last play of the game that would have given the 'Cats the victory. And let's not forget that Cincinnati's head coach is Ohio States old defensive co-ordinator,Mark D'antonio.Think he's pumped up for this game?
If UC score 14 points that means the Buckeyes have to score 30 to beat us.I think Cincinnati gets more than 14.
    We'll see.
