Will The News England Patriots Go Undefeated During the 2004 BFL Regular Season?
POSTS ODDS ON: "WILL THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS GO UNDEFEATED DURING THE 2004 NFL REGULAR SEASON?"

(Zapote, Costa Rica, 11 OCTOBER 2004)-Will the Patriots EVER lose? That seems to be the question all around the football world these days. The Pats have won an incredible 19 straight games including the playoffs setting a new NFL record. They are 3 wins away from breaking the NFL consecutive regular season wins record, a record that is over 70 years old. What the Pats have been able to do during the streak has been simply remarkable, and the end does not seem near with the way they are playing.

Head coach Bill Belichick has put a formula together that has enabled the Pats to be in every game and set themselves up to either win or put away the opposing team late in the game as needed. During the streak, the Pats have had several close calls but have always been able to pull out the win, including last season's Superbowl against the upstart Carolina Panthers. With a QB like Tom Brady, who is one of the best in the last decade in the NFL, and a defense that creates turnovers, add in free agent RB Corey Dillon and you have a team that will always have a chance to win and most of the time will.

"With the way New England has played thus far this season there is no reason to think they don't have a great chance at going undefeated," said Wagerweb.com CEO Dave Johnson "They just seem to always be able to get the job done no matter what it takes, home or away, down big or down small, this team is built to win championships."

Looking at the Patriots' schedule for the rest of the season, there are 4 remaining key tests on their road to a possible undefeated season. On October 31, they have a Halloween showdown on the road at surprise AFC North leader Pittsburgh. The following week, they travel to St. Louis to face the suddenly solid Rams. On Monday night, November 22, they have at date at Kansas City; and the second to the last week of the season, they play the upstart New York Jets. The last team to go undefeated for an entire regular season was the 1972 Miami Dolphins under Don Shula.
