So far just one play for me.
England -160 over Paraguay - These two last met in 2002 with England winning 4-0. Lot's of high hopes for this English sqaud in this world cup but if they are going to do any damage, they need to start off with a win.
Here's a UPI article that sums up just how crucial an opening win is for this talented team -
England can't afford first-game mistakes
FRANKFURT, Germany, June 9 (UPI) -- Paraguay will get an indication just how well the 2006 World Cup will go for it in its first game Saturday when it meets England in Frankfurt.
The England-Paraguay pairing is the opening match in Group B play. Sweden plays Trinidad and Tobago in Dortmund, in the group's other opener.
It's been 40 years since England won its only World Cup championship but many think this is the year that the country that invented the game gets to once again celebrate winning the sport's biggest prize.
England is led by captain David Beckham, who rivals the one-named Brazilian stars for star power. But the team will be without one of its younger stars -- at least in the early going -- as Wayne Rooney rests a foot injury. Even without Rooney, England is the class of Group B, and will be out to prove it at the expense of Paraguay.
A slip in that first game, however, may force England's hand and cause it to rush in players who may not be 100 percent. A first-game victory cures a lot of concerns for England.
Paraguay is playing in its seventh World Cup and advanced out of group play each of the last two tournaments. But getting out of the group this year will be tougher unless there's some first-game magic for coach Anibal Ruiz' team.
