Chiefs -3.5 over Saints - Ultimately we would like to find an underdog in a spot like this, making it worthwhile of an investment. But in this game, it looks like the cat is out of the bag as far as playing a team yet to win.

Here, the Chiefs have probably been the WORST team in the pre season. They have only scored 14 points, worst in the NFL and have given up 41. The Chiefs look terrible! Yet, they are a 3.5 point fav.

The Chiefs have been playing basic defenses for their first two games. Coach Edwards hinted this week that that may change this week. Edwards said. "Let's wait until Saturday and see what we do." This is the third game, so you might see a little bit different," linebacker Derrick Johnson said. "Whatever we're going to do, this is the game to do it. We won't be as vanilla.".

But perhaps defense isn't the only problem. As mentioned above, they have only scored 14 points! You can bet that aside from winning at least one game in pre season, coaches also want their players to get to see what the end zone looks like more than a couple of times.

So there would appear to be great motivation on BOTH sides of the ball this week against the Saints. Being the first home game for the Chiefs doesn't hurt either.

Also note NFL home teams that are 0-2 Straight up in pre season and are coming home are on an 11-2 straight up run and are 16-5 ats the last 12 years - That trend courtesy of Winning Points.
