John Abraham - DE, Atlanta Falcons 10/25/2006

Atlanta DE John Abraham will miss three or four games following surgery on Tuesday to repair a tear in a lower abdominal muscle. This news comes two days after Falcons head coach Jim Mora said that Abraham might be available for duty in the team's Week 8 game at Cincinnati.

Del Rio, who said on Monday that Leftwich's ankle wasn't to blame for the QB's poor performance against the Texans on Sunday, changed his mind after reviewing tape of the game. According to Del Rio, Leftwich's status for Week 8 will be determined by how he practices this week.

Tony Romo - QB, Dallas Cowboys 10/25/2006

Reports are that Dallas head coach Bill Parcels will go with QB Tony Romo as the team's starter when the Cowboys play at Carolina on Sunday night. Parcells replaced QB Drew Bledsoe with Romo for the second half of the Cowboys' 36-22 loss to the Giants on Monday. It would be Romo's first NFL start.
