For Tonight's Play Of The Day, we will be looking at the Toronto/Cleveland game. Cleveland comes in winning seven of its last eight games with ace C.C. Sabathia getting the start. They will be opposed by Toronto's A.J. Burnett. Cleveland has several positive indicators going in its favor. Mainly, that Burnett has struggled against Cleveland in three career starts. He is just 1-2 with a 7.27 ERA (.449 BAA) with both losses coming at Cleveland's Jacobs field.
It also should be noted that Cleveland has won all 5 games that Sabathia has started this season, and that he is 4-1 with a 2.40 ERA in his last six starts at Jacobs Field.
Some teams just have other teams numbers, and in this situation I will be backing a Cleveland team that is 9-1 in its last 10 home games against Toronto.

Let's see,,, Boston's Ace Curt Schilling at home vs Oakland's Team batting average of only .230. Sounds like a no brainer. The only reason the money line is below 200 in this contest is because of a pitcher named Joe Blanton. Blanton is 2-0 with a 2.03 ERA against Boston with both games being played at Boston. Boston's lack of success against Oakland last year (3-7) may be keeping the line down also. Look for Schilling to be zeroed in against a struggling A's lineup.
Take Boston -175 for 3-Units.
