Ahhhh - one of my fav places on earth - Santa Anita - visited a few times in the 80's with my dad while visiting there.

40's in Denver for game sounds like New England - my guys might like that.

Pressure will be on middle men in the pen for Sox when Dice K is about done in the 5th.

From what I have read lately - not following them at all these days - but I have feeling Street Sense will be of value today. Had him in all his 3 yo races - was my last Derby winner and is remebered as a gutzy steed. Trainer has a way with that horse - gets him up for the Big Ones.

    Have a good day.

In hindsight, holding Beckett back in Game 4 of the ALCS at Cle was the key move of the post-season, in conjunction with MLB's ridiculous decision to make the Rockies wait 8 full days between their final W over Arizona and the WS opener; a fatal layoff which completely killed their magical momentum to that point.

Winning 7 games in a row vs Cle and Col is no mean feat, any way you slice it.

Congrats to the Red Sox. They were the best team all season.

Like you, I, too, see a swack of games on the board for Week 9 that I think are solid plays ... which actually brings to mind a certain quote by an iconic tv character, reflecting a mindset all players should heed, in times such as these, from ...

Sergeant Phil Esterhaus: Hey (people), let's be careful out there.

Experience says that, in a world of Cops 'n Robbers, all too frequently, things are not as they appear to be.

O.K., Let's save some time and space............Since you ask, and you are one of my favorite reads, I'll put it like this my Cowboy friend............

The one play I like the most doesn't take place until Monday Night...........The Steelers will win this game 23-3 or 23-7...........Take your pick but I love the UNDER on this game as much as I like the Steelers.............That's one gimme.

The early morning Sunday games have me jumping in on the 49er's + the points, and the Arizona Cardinals + the number..............Just to make breakfast go down a little better.................Don't forget that the games start at 10:00 AM here on the west coast (plus, with daylight savings time ending, we get the extra hour of hangover cure)...................Also looking at the Chiefs and Broncos to both cover...........In the afternoon, I see Cleveland giving Seattle all that they can handle, and the Eagles bringing the Cowboys back down to Earth...........So, in a perfect world, you can say that you heard it here first when you see the results reading something like this:

                    PITTSBURGH -9
                    PITT/BALT UNDER 36
                    ARIZONA +3.5
                    SAN FRANCISCO +3.5
                    KANSAS CITY -2
                    DENVER +3
                    CLEVELAND -1
                    BUFFALO +1 (BONUS PLAY)
                    PHILADELPHIA +3

WOW !!................WHAT A TEASER !!! SERIOUSLY THOUGH, I LOVE THE NINERS AND THE CARDINALS THE BEST...............GOOD LUCK TO YOU.

                    ;)

Boone - you shouldn't bet against the Cowboys like that

they are the class of the NFC....laying 3 pts is a gift

ha ha ha - hindsight is 20/20 but they are going to the SuperBowl - mark it down

                      you still liking Steelers tonight???
