College BASKETBALL game of the week contest

Hoops is tough to run a contest for because it's every day......

Any interest in a hoops contest that was Saturday only? Same format as the college contest for football.

One game a week. We could start it in January. If we did January and February we'd get 8 plays total. Then we could have everyone pick two games in March which should give us another 8 games.

Let me know what you think and/or if you have another format suggestion.

    Certainly sounds easy enough.
Oh wait a sec, I went 4 wins in the NFL pool. Ha ha.
Count me in, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Ok. So, it's shaping up with some intrest, so we'll definetly do it.

We'll do one pick a week from the monster Saturday card.

We'll try to get the lines up sometime on Friday, and allow plays to be made anytome before tip of the game you are playing. So there should be no problem getting your play in as long as you can get to a computer sometime between Friday Night and Sat.

By my calculations, if we do January, Feb, one pick each Saturday that's 8 plays.

Then For March, we do 2 picks each Saturday, there are 5 Saturdays in March, so that's another 10 games.

Then in April we have the Semi finals and finals for another 3 games.

    So

    Jan-Feb 8 games
    March 10 games
    April 3 games
    Total = 21 games.

    $500 winner take all

Jeff I am in, thanks for hosting

One suggestion I would make is to use
opening lines from USA Today as they come out for
    Friday or Saturday games.

Allowing everyone time to gather the information
needed and post selections. My fear is that I
am not always available on fridays to reach out
    and catch information.

    Thanks

Jeff, putting a deadline 1 hour before the First Sat game like we do in the college football contest would give followers a chance to place real world wagers on the guys that are HOTT. It would also be easier to keep records because the record keeper is gonna have to Check the times on all the games that each individual posted, which would be extra work...........if there is a deadline before tip off of the first sat game, there will be no issue if someone posted in time.

Agree with xbigpappa. Need to have entry games posted one hour before the start of the first Saturday game.

By the way, nice NFL capping this season xbigpappa.
