Baseball Futures-World Series

Not investing a whole lot of cash into this (probably about 1 unit spread over the whole thing), but think its worth a shot...

Right now I see a Cubs/Angels World Series on the horizon...

Current odds-
Cubs +165 to win NL
Cubs +425 to win World Series

Angels +405 to win World Series

So based on what I 'think' is going to happen I placed these wagers on all 3 of the above..

If the cubs win the NL but lose the series to LAA I am up a bit, if the cubs win both, I hit it big. if LAA wins the eseries over the cubs, I basically break even.

If LAA and Chicago don't do crap, then I am out about 1.5 unit.

The way the cubs and angels have been playing and the way the other teams are hot and cold, I think this is how it will play out. I am a cards fan but i cub country so it will add some extra excitement while Iwatch the cubs in the post-season.

Any thoughts?

The Cubs are very tough to beat at Wrigley, after that - it's a crap shoot...........But just out of curiosity Woodee, where did you find those odds on the Angels?..........That seems like a pretty generous number.

at Olympic sportsbook, the greek. Still +405 for Angels now.

I don't know about the angels play, I totally understand playing it, but having clinched the playoffs so early and playing so many meaningless games right now, I am uncertain if they can dial up the necessary emotion to even get to
the world series.

yeah, that concerns me too, but up and down the line up and with thier pitching, I think they have the best overall team and hopefully they can get back in the swing of things if they can get by round 1.

Plus anything can happen and these teams may noteven make it anywhere either!
