ILLINOIS BASKETBALL UPDATE

December 20 is the day Illinois baskeball
fans have marked on the calendar.

This is the day the teams chemistry changes
to allow a true 6-5 shooting guard to play

Alex Legion, a 6-5 transfer from KY should be
ruled eligible to play with team December 20
vs Detroit.

Rated 39 in the class of 2007 by scout, this
kid was lost in the recruiting battle at Illinois
with the Eric Gordon recruiting debalce, Legion
decided on Kentucky. Played a half a year and
said I dont want to play here. He opted for Illinois

This kid has been waiting for NCAA clearance
to play but has been playing summer games
with the team, playing open Gym, playing
team practices, and individual work outs

A pure 6-5 player who has a dynamic mid
range jumper and is a threat to score from
any where.

This is excatly what Illinois needs a go to
shooter, who can create and knock it down

The only chink in thjis kids game is his defense,
and to play for Coach Weber you better play
Defense as well as Offense.

This kid will add a whole new look to Illinois
on the Offense.

It has been reported that Illinois Line Backer
Martiz Wilson has been hospitalized with a
Stab wound. A altercation out side a bar at
2am. (This kids needs to get his head out
of the ghetto) A major talent that looked lost
all year long...

UP DATE on Martez Wilson

I told you days ago that Illinois Sophmore
Line Backer Martez Wilson was stabbed in a fight.

It was the same player that was suspended from the
last game of the season vs Northwesterm

So, I assumed more trouble following trouble
and admit I was wrong, here is the story......

The Super Star potential Line Backer was at
a bar with a friend, they were leaving at 2 am
(This is the same bar Jamar Smith basketball
got kicked off the team visiting)

He looks out and sees a crowd gathered around
one person being beat. He does not know who it
is. Martez rushes over the crowd to stop this
beating of a person, and sees it is his friend a
former team mate.

Wilson pulled 6 of these punks off his friends
lifeless body, as they continued to beat this
kid.

Finally the 6 turned on Martez, he was all alone
and he knocked out the first punk cold with one
punch. The group backed off...........

All except one, who stabbed Martez Twice
with a knife, This kid is lucky to be alive and
so is his friend.

Coach Ron Zook says that Martez did the right
thing and if it wasnt for him a life would have been
lost.

Martez Wilson is a Super Star recruit Line Backer
from Simeon High School, Big Big things are
expected from this kid in his future, many are
trying to compare his potential to Siemon Rice.
