  • ILLINOIS BASKETBALL THOUGHTS

    Illinois is 15-2 (Unranked)

This Illinois team has beaten ranked Missouri,
Purdue and Michigan. The only loses were to
Clemson 16-0 (by 2 pts) and Michigan.

With assist of 72.1% of baskets this season Illinois
leads the nation in assist percentage.

They also lead the NCAA in assist per game
    at 19.9 per game.

The Illini rank 2nd in the country with assist
    to turnover ratio of 1.5

Illinois has found a secret weapon a 7-1 center
named Mike Tisdale, this kid has a beautiful
hook shot (reminds me of Lew Alcindor). He can
pull up from 15 feet and knock down the soft jumper
and is starting to become a force to contend with.
Illinois has never had a Big Man inside with such
a dominant presence, and Coach Weber knows it.

Illinois ball movement of Offense is something
to enjoy and watch as they move it around
    very nicely.

Is Illinois right now the best 15-2 team
in the nation not ranked (Carpet says Yes)

Next up for Illinois is Michigan State
saturday, and in my opinion MSU is
the class of the Big 10 this year. They rebound
very well and got some real talent under coach izzo.
I look for a extremly tough game for Illinois
    coming up
