Of course, we don't know all the details, but when did football become ballet? Leavitt gets fired for grabbing a football player by the shoulder pads and Leach gets fired for putting someone in timeout. I'm not a huge fan of either program, but what do you think coaches did 30 years ago. I remember reading years ago in Sports Illustrated that a Kicker for Citadel missed a game winning field goal and they drove him like 30 miles from town and made him walk back. That coach wasn't fired, they said it built discipline and character. While I would never agree with abusing a player, I think in a viscious sport like football, this stuff goes on all the time. These programs better like being 3-8 with a nice coach.
