So Tiger made his statement today.

That's all well and good.

But seriously, what does it say about our society that every major television network covers this as breaking news?

Sure, ok, cable news, fox, cnn, I guess they are supposed to cover everything and anything.

But the major networks?

Think about it.

A great golfer cheated on his wife.

So the world stops?

If the President of the United States made such a mistake, yes, he should address the Nation.

But a guy who hits a little ball with a medal stick, walks after it and hits it again, and again, until he gets it in the little hole.......no, he shouldn't be addressing the Nation.

We've heard all of the Tiger jokes because the guy made a joke of himself..........His only 2 sponsers are "In N Out" and "Lays Potato Chips" because "he loves his Lays" etc...............He's finally back to playing golf because he was able to remove is 9-Iron from his sunroof.........He said he'd be playing in this year's Master's Tournament -- at least that what he's telling his wife...........and the only reason he cheated on her in the first place was "because, sometimes 18 holes just aren't enough".

But take a look at the big picture..........This plastic sissy was born with the proverbial "silver spoon" and took his talents to the highest level...........and eventually accomplished unfathomable feats at an age that were considered unthinkable.............but all the while, this spoiled brat would never acknowledge the gallery in a humble or appreciated manner..........Instead, he resorted to screaming and throwing tantrums, or having fans removed for shouting his name, taking a picture at times he didn't deem appropriate, heaving his golf club in frustration, and never would he smile to his fan base or offer a tip of the cap, the way a baseball player would after he hit a game-winning home run, etc.

Instead, he demanded the royalty treatment -- while performing off the course, everything short of the icon he presented himself to be, and promoted himself to be...............Take the good with the back kid.........You want to be treated in the highest regard, then command respect, don't demand it.

You got caught like the bad cop, like the bad politician and the everyday husband that doesn't make the kind of money you do, but got nailed like you did..............You're no better than any of us, and you still breathe, eat and shit like we do, but make alot more money than we do for doing so.

Face it Flounder, you fucked up -- you trusted us..........and with your attitude, it'll take a whole lot on your part to make things good again.........And who really gives a shit if you do.

Just my opinion, but I'm too old to pull any punches.

Agree with all the posts above; But I'm a golfer and I look at the guy who makes it looks so easy when it isn't. Was an athelete in my time played both high school and college football. Golf is the hardest thing I've ever tried to master. I totally respect his golf game and thats all I care about. THE REST IS BETWEEN HIM AND HIS WIFE AND I DON'T GIVE A RIP ABOUT IT. That being said; great masters tourney and CONGRATS PHIL!!! I'm a fan!!!!!
