I am liking Carpet's pick of Illinois today too. Richmond 'was' good last year but think they will take some time to get back on the map again this year.

Illinois is a 5 point chalk vs the Richmond Spiders, the line is now 6

The Spiders are a creepy bunch coming off a sweet 16 appearance last year. But the old spiders have left the nest leaving this team in a rebuilding mold.

Illinois welcomes in 7 new players a top 15 class of raw talent and turnovers, but the athletic ability of these players is amazing.

Illinois has been bugged with injuries they go so hard at in practice it looks like a mash unit when they done. There are some big differences with this team compared with style of play from last year.

The big improvement has been rebounding and hustle. Now we can document rebounds but we cant place a price tag on hustle. This Illinois team really hustles.

I am very comfortable with a 10 point win for Illinois

Missouri -1 vs California. I think Missouri is for real this year and should cover this spot. A Very strong play here.

Missouri can put up some points on offense, they have scored 80 points or more in almost every game.
