That's exactly it. As the season progresses I've noticed over the years lines get real sharp. So why not take 6, 7 or 10 points? If you think you know the winner then the tease seems to work. It's especially good if you like an over total a lot. I've heard people say teasing o/u doesn't matter. Heck, it matters at times and the idea is to hopefully not 'need' to have teased it (or at least 1 side). The parity in the NFL makes that leeway extremely useful.
