The 3 hrs after lines come out....seriously, not even the same thing as most wait until Friday/Saturday anyway.
Dragon with all respect your argument all revolves around your schedule it seems.

Let me get this straight because you like to go out on Saturday night you feel the rules should be changed to adjust to your
schedule? Cause basically that is all I am picking up on.

We all have the same advantage/disadvantage in 10 time zones. We know when we join the time rules of selection and the
time they must be in Globally.

I see no reason to continue the discussion of this rule change regarding time to get your picks in. Over 98% of the players last few years had no problem with the time zone difference.

Look in the mirror on this one-You know what time picks are due (irregardless of your personal schedule) make a choice you
can live with that rule or not. If not it is your every choice to not join I respect that also.

I hope you join the contest Dragon-Just set your alarm clock on your smart phone 3 hours early to get you picks in.

I feel like if you pay money to get into the contest, just make sure the picks are in by the deadline. Set an alarm on your phone or something.

Will have all day Wednesday, all day Thursday, all day Friday, most of staurday to make picks.

I don't party like I use to for all hours into the night (but I was really good at it when I did), and I have never missed a deadline in any contest for all the years I've been here. I usaully have an idea who I am going ot pick most weeks at least down to 5-7 games where I can just log in and throw them in here anytime. Maybe I am wierd but if you ar ein tune with the NFL during the season, I can quote lines anytime after they are released basically each week.

Anyway, hope you will still play Dragon, even if the rules stay the same. For one, I like to play some of the good players picks as well with real money on Sunday or late saturday and it is nice to see who they are on. I did well follwoing ythe top dogs last year and many other probably did to.

A wise man once said, "those that don't know, don't know that they don't know" So if you can't get it then I'm through trying to explain it because you are obviously missing the point about the obvious advantage in time zones. It's not about my freakin' schedule, it's about the disadvantage in relation to where I live.

In again, and vote to keep the Hilton name. They can change the Hotel's name, the "Official" Contest Name to Westgate or whatever, but the Contest will always be The Hilton contest to me.

Still want to call Nissans, Datsuns?

Nostalgic about the name of a Hotel and a sports betting contest?

I just thought outsiders would think we were a bunch of outliers behind the times. Maybe not. No big deal. But in another couple years people will forget it was once called the Hilton Contest and they won't know what the heck a Mock Hilton Contest is.

                Bettorsworld SuperContest?
                Bettorsworld Mock SuperContest?
                Bettorsworld NFL Pick 5?

There is no time disadvantage or advantage in this contest. It's a perceived disadvantage based on ones own personal schedule.

There are likely no two players in this contest each year that have the same schedule. There are retired guys with all the time of the world to come up with their plays each week.

There are younger guys working 70 hours a week with very little time to handicap.

There are guys that work the night shift on Friday Nights.

There are guys on Eastern time that can't stay up past 9pm est.

No matter what time we make the deadline, it will likely be an INCONVENIENCE for someone.

                  It is what it is.

                    Contest name change.............

Perhaps we can start slowly emphasizing the SUPERCONTEST name and eventually call it the Bettorsworld Super Contest.

The name didn't change until last year when Hilton became Westgate.

Currently, more people know it as the Hilton Contest. Eventually, more people will know it as simply the Super Contest.

For now, the main reason to keep the Hilton name in the contest is because we get quite a bit of search engine traffic with the name "hilton football handicapping contest".

It doesn't matter to me what the name is. Also, is it 2 entries per person ?

Makes sense. Search engine traffic rules.

Rule change for 2015. You can now sign up for as many spots as you want at $50 per entry. Simply use the number next to your screen name when posting your 5 picks. Example The Boys 1, The Boys 2 etc etc.

YES! I agree and kind of what I was saying. Also, If it is that hard to get the picks in on time, then its probably not a top prioroty and time can be used elsewhere or just playing at a sportsbook at your leisure. It seems quite simple to me...If we had a window of 4 hours to get our picks in on just the saturday then sure, I see it. But when you have wednesday thru saturday afternoon at earliest, then it should be no problem meeting the easy deadline no matter what time zone you are in.
