    Baseball Plays and discussion

Going to make my first play so far this year as I like to wait a bit.

I see some value teams in: Philly (ggod young hitters if the pitching can keep up), Oakland, Seattle, White Sox, Mets, so far.

    Saturday--

White Sox -104 over KC---KC may be really bad this year and white sox are under the radar. Hit the ball really well in game 1 and I expect that to continue today. Lean on over 8.5 too.

1-0 to start the year as the Sox came back to win on Saturday.

    Monday-

Going to take a shot at a nice juicy dog tonight.

Baltimore +185 over Houston---Astros home opener and will be emotional so don't know how focused they will be. Astros are a hard team to bet against but this is a good spot to try!

    Not even cloe last night.

    1-1 YTD

    Tuesday--

Cards +107 over Brewers---Cards bat woke up last night and Flaherty is a good starter to back as well as a dog. Not sold on Chase Anderson for the Brewers either.

Woodee- What are your thoughts on the Cards this year ?

Off season a few good trades- How does the pitching match up this year ?

Are they good enough to beat out the Pirates and Cubs for first ?

I think the cards are going to be very average. Battling to stay a few games above .500 just like last year. This is my last year for Matheny too...I've been a supporter but he continues to make bone headed moves late in games that give the Cards no chance in close games!
His bullpen management is terrible using is good guys in games that aren;t close making them unavailable the next day. Hopefully I am wrong but that's what I was thinking going into the season and its been true so far.

Win one, lose one, just like last year. Pirates, cubs, brewers battle it out for first and wild card.

    Monday--

    1-2 YTD

    Philly -130 over Reds

Indians/Angels ML Parlay (+140 odds on parlay)

    2-1 yesterday

    Tuesday-

Cards -166 over Brewers--Playing the pitching match-up mostly here with Martinez over Suter so hopefully the cards get a good cushion before getting into the pen.

Red Sox -127 over Yanks-Sale play

    Royals -103 over Seattle

    Padres +143 over Rockies

Mets -170 over Nats---Little juicy but big pitching match up for NYM as I don't trust Hellickson for Nats at all.

0-4 last night. 0-6 slide. IU'm a great fade right now!

    Tuesday--

Jays -148 over KC (game 2)

    Reds +145 over Milwaukee

    Indians/Yanks--Parlay

    Seattle +170 over Stros

Lean to the Cubs but can't back them as I root against them tonight. Waino is not the old Waino and should be faded all year.

Agreed Woodee Waino is not his old self for sure.

Game time temp in Chicago will be 35 with a real feel of 31 just miserable.

Both Pitchers come in with extreme high ERA's.

Weather be damned I like the over 7.5 runs for this game

Good call on the over. needed a late push but it got there!

Another dreadful day for me at 1-4. I will get there! At least I won one game!

Yanks somehow get blown out by the Marlins to ruin the parlay!

FYI- Thats 2, -300 favs that have got beat in the apst few days... Astros on Sunday night and Yanks last night.

    9-17 (-$998 based on $100 wager) YTD.

    Wednesday--

Going to chill on the multiple plays until I start seeing things a bit better.

CLEVELAND -114 OVER MINNY---IN P Rico. Think Indians with Lindor's spark win another one and Carrasco has been good so far too. Should be a low scoring tight game with 2 good pitchers.

Betting Baseball in cold weather is like throwing a dart. Nothing works the way they should be compared to warm weather. I am going to wait and watch looking for the weather to warm up especially for NL Central teams.

Clevelland loses in a good game. Could have one a couple times but they can't bunt.

    9-18 (-112)

    Thursday-

Cards +104 over Cubs---Cubs don't look in good form right now and cards are streaking winning 5 in a row. Cubs will rund into form but I think at this time the dog is the play. Obviosuly a home play too!

Tigers +107 over Orioles---balty trending in wrong direction hoping to get home tonight.
