    SBG

Anybody ever use SBG? I'm a little confused here. Under "The List" I saw SBG name. But under "Archives" B'world has an article solely devoted to SBG "Sounds Like Bull**** Guys/Girs"? What gives? Which article/list is correct? Maybe Jeff or other can explain this confusion. Any other comment on SBG (Good/bad) is also appreciated.
    thanks

The article was written when SBG burst on to the scene as if nothing had ever happened. When the old owners of the originally named SDB Global were questioned, they claimed to know nothing about SBG.

It was our opinion based on this response, that SBG was trying to pull a fast one by using a similar name to that of the original.

Don't forget now, SDB closed as a result of the FBI criminal complaints. If in fact the original people had anything to do with SBG, they certainly wouldn't come clean about it.

SBG is in the same office as the original. Same phone numbers. Same customer list. Etc.Etc.Etc.

All indications are that SBG is solid as a rock financially. This is based not just on feedback from some players, but others in the industry as well. Thus, they were added to "the list".

However, I will never pull an article down from the site in which I was expressing my opinion. That's why they're called archives.....old stuff.

My opinion on the playing with names still stands however. I don't like the way they went about it. I also don't like the fact that there are two NASA's. I also thought that Universal's new owners should have changed their names when they took over that business....I don't like any of it.....But, I understand why it was done, from a business standpoint.

One final note: SDB Global, at the time of their closing, was one of the biggest most respected Sportsbooks out there.

    Jeff,

thanks for your answer. So if I understand you correctly, the article was written when SBG first came out and the only reason for that article was because they didn't come clear about their relationship with SDB.
But over time SBG has proven themself and now is put on "The List"?
Anybody has an account with SBG???

Pretty much....again, I didn't like the way they presented themselves. Still don't.

For example, their ads say they have served the gambling public for 6 years. That can only be true if in fact SBG is SDB.Otherwise, they're only a little over a year in biz. Which is it? Why do the old owners deny any knowledge of it? Is it because of what happened?

Is SBG SDB? I don't know. All I can say for sure is that positive things have been mentioned concerning their financial stability.

If SBG was in fact SDB, They would be very highly recommended.

However, due to the confusion, I'd still keep an eye out.

The old owners HAVE to deny any part in this new SDG Global. They made a deal with the US government to do so. Regardless of how reputable a business the original owners had (SDB Global was reputable since they managed to get everyone paid promptly once the complaints were issued by the FEDS...they did not even attempt to make excuses), but the business had an office on Wall Street that was busted. The owners in this case HAD to fess up and HAD to promise no future involvement in this company.
