    Bob,
Some books already offer dime lines in football and basketball with their juice deal.

It doesn't count if you don't pay up.

        BOB
I find that some of the problems with this forum are people posting without understanding the topic or reading it correctly. Please reread the thread started here by ajax50. It says BASEBALL to go to a wide line. He then asks for some opinions about this from some of the books. I told him what he was looking for. SKYBOOK will not go to a wide line in BASEBALL. He didnt ask about any other sports.
Then you choose to put words in my mouth. I never , ever said I love the dime line. I am a bookmaker. Why would I love a 10 cent line over a 20 cent line or worse for that matter.
I hate the dime line. It is great for the bettors not the books. I simply said we will continue to use the dime line in response to his Topic. I have 2 strong reasons for this.
We have clients that have been with us for years. I will not all of a sudden make changes on them and tell them even though I already have the advantage over you I am making it a bigger advantage. Lastly this can never work anyway as I have said. MAny books will not comply and they will get all the baseball wagers. The books that plan to move to a 20 cent line should save everyones time and say we are not booking baseball this year.
Do you know how the dime line started anyway? IF you did this would make perfect sense. It was simply when a book decided to make his line a 10 cent line instead of the 20 cent line everyone else was using to get all the business.
I hope this helps clear things up
        Lance

Doesn't Antigua have anti-trust laws to prevent this sort of collusion? Bill Clinton and the justice dep't would be all over these bookmakers if they did this sort of thing in the States. Anyway, I hear Actionsports is going to a nickle line for bases.

I always thought this forum and this site were mainly for the bettors. Hence the name bettorsworld. I dont know why a thread like this isnt scareing the hell out of all you people who bet baseball. Its your money.
I am waiting for and Hoping other books will come in here and say that they will use and stay with the 10 cent line as well. If not I dont know if Skybook can handle writing every single baseball bet. We might have to hire 200 more clerks.
( Seriously though)I think all you bettors should be voicing an opinion a lot stronger and the books that feel as we do should let your voice be heard.
There are so many reasons this can never work that i am hoping maybe everyone knows this and that is why they arent taking this very seriously.

              Please express more opinions Lance

I really don't know what all the fuss
is. This situation seems simple, if a book
goes to a 15-20 cent line, don't wager
with them, go elsewhere. I agree with Lance, this would never work anyway. Any book that
went to wide line would loose business to
the ones that stayed at 10 cents. Lance, I
like the way SkyBook stepped up, and took
a position immediately. I think I will open
an account with you in the next few weeks,
to compliment my other baseball accounts.
                Two thumbs up for SkyBook!

                  To all sportsbooks!!!
There are lots of outs. Serious bettors will never play with a book that has a 20 cent line (unless the favorites price can be scalped)The loosers will as usual be the little guys. The same shmucks who took the Titans plus 6 1/2 or Rams minus 7 1/2....
And I swear when football comes around I will stay with the books that have treated me the best during baseball! If you want our money you may actaully have to earn it instead of steal it!

                    Lance,
I choose to not identify the book I'm with, just because I enjoy giving a BM's opinion without sounding like a commercial for my book. I've followed this forum since 1996 when it was just oddswiz, and have enjoyed it.
One more thing on the dime line. Some books say they run the dime line, but it's actually a graduated line. When does it turn to 15 cents and then to 20. Some places that say it's a dime line will then give you -150 take back +135. That's not a true dime line. Ask your books about it.

I hear CRIS is going to a 20cent line-this is not right...We the bettors cant put up with this, its simply not right..We can only do business with companys that respect us enough by offering us what is right, which is a dime line.I hope the books on the screen dont collaborate with DONBEST to switch to the 20cent line..What will happen next i wonder?

                        INTHEKNOW!

Enjoy reading your comments and like the idea you don't keep touting your book like Lance. He's starting to think this is the place to put his phone numbers for the world to see. He does make sense at times but his responses would be enough. Don't need his ads. BY the way I don't think a dime line should go off 10c until 182-195 185-200 187-205 190-210 after that most stores do what ever they want.

How does anyone know what type of bookmaker you are or if your really a bookmaker and how can they know how much value to place on your opinions as a bookmaker if you wont tell us what book you work for?
Somethings fishy. Believe me 99% of the readers or the intelligent ones want to know who is who.

You are obviously a very novice bettor or you would love the fact that I choose to step up and say an opinion from a books point of view. I do not hide behind a made up name and make claims to be this or that. Anyone can make up a false name and claim to be anything in this forum. I choose to come out and speak
                          the truth always.
The beauty of this is we can agree or disagree but I am not hiding who I am. I and you too
should always ask yourself why someone is hiding their identity.( Ray meyers for example)
Lastly Devil do you even realize the whole point of my posts or are you that lost. I am posting as a book defending YOU THE BETTOR. I am saying you deserve to bet the standard 10 cent line and not be forced to bet the 20 cent line. INTHEKNOW Ask yourself why someone would claim to be from a book but not say which book in a forum like this. The readers respect the opinions from certain books a lot more then others. Are you with action sports? Do you understand after those last few points why you would be much better off stating what book you are with in a forum like this. You keep offering us opinions as a bookmaker well what good is that. there are a lot of action sports out there my friend

intheknow, I also appreciate your input without advertisement.

I don't fault Lance - he's just looking out for his business interest and trying to contribute at the same time.

But it seems that you are forced to deal with the issues from a more objective standpoint, since you've elected not to advertise.
