    Johnny D.

I heard the new line up, and to my dismay Phil Daniels has disappeared. Do you plan to have Phil on the scorephone in the future? If not, does he have another line I can call?

Where has Phil Daniels and Corey Black gone? Do you have a local number in North Carolina that I can call? I notice that Jack Price mentions Phil on the national number, but he is not featured as one of the handicappers and does not give out a free pick. What gives?

Based on the info I got right here at BW, we have decided that Phil Daniels and Cory Black are not an asset to the scorephone network. Everyone fades them. Sorry....

Now that is the FUNNIEST thing I have read in here since the Father's were around(Johnny D using quality control). Johnny, why don't you just fade their plays and release them as your own. You will become the star of you own lineup. The only capper to hit over 52%.

Slam, I love you, man! Chris(MAsports) and I have been calling and fading Phil D's comp picks for over a dozen years...I also will confess to the only 900# call I have ever made. The year Denver played SF in the Superbowl, I loved SF. Phil had already given out the under on his comp line, but I just had to make sure he was on Denver. So I spent the $25 for the call and of course he had Denver....Blowout City, and the most confident wager I've ever placed! Please, somebody help us find Phil!

You guys would like Phil Daniels. He is a nice guy. Take it easy on him.

I LOVE Phil Daniels! "Take it easy on him?" I'm not the one who put him out of work! Johnny, your marketing wizardry not withstanding, how could you not find a way to utilize a guy who's a 64% fade?! C'mon, bring him back!

So let me see if I got this right, you guys want Phil Daniels back when he is 64% fade?
What about the guys who call him and don't know he is a 64% fade? They get killed then right? Most people want winners-I thought.
    Correct me if I'm wrong.

JD, can you honestly say that any 'handicapper' in your stable has ever turned a profit over a 2 year or longer period? If I called and followed any of these people for that length of time, factoring in phone bills, would I not be homeless? Even with a college degree in the early 80's, I was swindled by countless 'information providers' over a two year period before I wised up. There are three kinds of people in this industry: 1-Guys who hit 55-58% who will place you barely in the plus column due to their fees...2-The consistent 50% guy who always has a big game, and eventually bleeds his followers dry...3-Guys who just plain suck! For 10+ years running, I have called for free picks from JP+PD. For 5 years they both were below 45% and I always confirmed their selections to avoid giving my clients the same side. Then suddenly Jack ascended into group 2, so I quit calling him. But Phil's comps, even with a few hot streaks, always produced negative results. I hope you remember JD, that although we have had our differences in here, that I have defended you in the past. You do what you do, and if you quit tomorrow, they'd be lined up to take your place. In an old post a few months back, where you responded "SL, well said", I told your bashers to "learn to use Johnny for the assets you can use him for." You came into this forum hoping to hit a hot streak, and then switch readers to your 900 line, and it backfired when you lost. But instead of your leaving, a funny thing happened. You found that you were hooked, that you effen love it in here! Since then, you have been as honest in 'Posterland' as you are dishonest in 'Scorephoneland'. I love the controversy you bring, for it livens up this board! If it weren't for you, I probably wouldn't even have registered. We even had a little fun with the Loudog challenge, which fortunately for you, never took place, as Loudog's picture is now on a milk carton! But Johnny, by dismissing Phil, you have removed the asset from which I gained the most. There has GOT to be a way for you to make money with Phil, as have those who have learned to profit by fading his comps.

I've had about 30 voice mails for the return of Phil Daniels. I'll see what I can do.

This post is too funny, leave it to some of you to dig out a gem that consistently sucks and then play opposite. I can't stop laughing at this concept, I guess its consistenty that really ends up paying off. Perhaps you can just run a disclaimer for him.

Tampatampa--Could I venture a guess as to who you like in today's football game?

If there was ever a day Phil's opinion was so desperately needed, Saturday was it!

I didn't have much of an opinion on the game, as a fan I bet a half unit on tampa and then I bet a half unit on the over since I lost 4 straight unders yesterday.
So in short, I made back a small portion of the "tiger isn't going to win this tourny" money.
This game was pretty much unbettable since they are playing each other again in 2 weeks and it was tough to figure out if they would actually play.
My opinion after the game, as it was after last week, Shawn King has no business being the first string QB.

I'm hoping that with the start of the new week I'll pick up the phone and hear that Phil is back on button 5. That would help ease the pain after a horrible week in the bases and football.
