    Celebration in Buckeye Nation

The #1 Ohio State Buckeyes flexed their muscles in Austin, Texas Saturday against the Longhorns with a 24-7 victory. Despite being the highest ranked team in the nation the Buckeyes entered the game as a 3 point underdog. But Ohio State investors got the SU win and cover, as the scarlet and gray went to 2-0 SU and ATS.

QB Troy Smith riddled Texas for 269 yards passing and two TDs. The victory keeps the Buckeyes in perfect position for a run to a national title. Keep winning, and they should stay right where they are.
The Buckeyes' defense, which replaced nine starters this season, looked championship caliber, holding a Texas team that had scored at least 40 points in 12 consecutive games to a single TD.
As for the then No. 2 Texas (1-1 SU & ATS), which saw its 21-game winning streak snapped, the Longhorns will need some help if they hope to return to the national title game.

This Coming weekend's college card is another great one with a lot of money to be earned. Thursday, things get started with two games that includes the No. 6 West Virginia Mountaineers playing host to the Maryland Terps. There's also a game on Friday, and of course, a full schedule Saturday.

    At the Pro Level

Sunday, nine road teams picked up wins. The only four victorious home teams were the New England Patriots, St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals and Jacksonville Jaguars. The dogs barked their way to a 10-3 ATS mark and under players built their bankrolls with a 10-3 record.

Monday, bettors were treated to a rare MNF double-header, where the Minnesota Vikings got a 19-16 win as the puppies against the hosting Washington Redskins. The favored San Diego Chargers downed the Oakland Raiders in the Coliseum 26-0. Overall in Week 1, the dogs posted an ATS record of 11-4 and the under went an astonishing 12-3.

Week 1 of the NFL regular season is now in the books. Week 2 will provide football gamblers with stellar action. Including the Battle of Ohio, as the Cleveland Browns head into the jungle to face the Cincinnati Bengals. As well, the NY Giants take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a super NFC East clash.

Sunday evening, the Washington Redskins meet the Cowboys in Dallas, and on MNF the Pittsburgh Steelers go south to battle the Jaguars in Jacksonville. These are just a few of the Week 2 matchups, and there's plenty other great games coming up this weekend, so don't miss any of the action.
