Will Vols Get Their Revenge?
South Carolina owns wins over Miss State and Furman this year and had a respectable showing against Georgia, losing 24-14. Their other loss came in week 1 to North Carolina 31-17.
The Vols failed in their only big spot this year losing to Florida 29-16 in the swamp. Their wins came against Virginia, Austin Peay and UTSA. We’ll learn a little more this week against a Gamecocks team that at least has a pulse.
The Revenge angle is worth noting here especially since the Gamecocks hung 63 on the board last year. You can be sure that loss has been a topic of conversation in Vols land since spring camp.
With that in mind we’ll tread a little lightly here but we still like South Carolina with the generous spot.
