  • Antigua and some issues I have concerning Starnet

Antigua is not host to the MOST sportsbooks (that honor goes to Costa Rica by a long shot); they are host to the TOP sportsbooks (Granted there are top sportsbooks elsewhere). Few can argue the quality of sportsbooks that congregate in Antigua (Post Time, Intertops, Carib, WWTS, Premiere League (thanks for the Christmas card), World Sports Exchange, SOS)

Starnet as a company I trust meets the standards imposed by Antigua, BUT....do their individual licensees? THAT is the issue. Starnet has essentially made itself out to be the sublicensee of Antigua to a number of books that now feature the license on their site. And I do not feel this is what the Free Trade Zone of Antigua and Barbuda have intended.

Bottom line, unless the Free Trade Zone has granted these casinos and sportsbooks licenses and they pay the $100,000 (this goes for all I-Gaming companies, not just Starnet), then there is no way that such casinos and sportsbooks should be claiming a license in Antigua. I intend to bring up these issues with the company. This undermines those sportsbooks that operate there now that have impeccable long-established repuations in Antigua.

Antigua already feels that STARNET meets those standards and I would have no reason to disagree, even though others might feel differently. No argument here, BUT the individual licensees should have to prove themselves FIRST before they can take this license for granted.
