Ottawa Senators -1/2 goal, -130 over the Carolina Hurricanes....game starts at 5pm.
Ottawa is unbeaten in its last 9 games against Carolina, going 7-0-2 during that span. They destroyed Carolina earlier in the year 6-1. The Senators have one of the best road records in the NHL this year with a 9-4-2 record. Carolina's home record is 10-7-5. Ottawa just had their 11 game unbeaten streak snapped on friday when they lost 3-2 against Buffalo but their still one of the hottest teams in the league and they've been playing excellent hockey the past month and a half. I see them getting right back to winning with this game against carolina. Ottawa currently has a 22-11-5 record and are battling the Maple Leafs for 1st place in their division, Carolina has a 14-18-8 record and will most likely miss the playoffs this year. Carolina recently fired their coach Paul Maurice and they've started to play a little better, going 6-6 with their new coach. The Hurricanes are starting to play more of a wide open game with their new coach instead of the defensive style game they used to play. They're usually pretty good at home but they lack offense and they don't really have any stars on their team that can turn a game around, those types of teams usually have difficulty playing the well-rounded Senators. Carolina's powerplay is dead last in the NHL and their penalty killing is below average at 19th in the league. Ottawa's powerplay is 3rd best in the NHL. I think this is a decent situation for a small play on the Senators.......good luck.
