  • Friday NBA...Wiz at Pistons

    8.05pm ET
    Washington Wizards @ Detroit Pistons

We'll go with the Over tonight as the Detroit Pistons welcome the Washington Wizards to the Palace of Auburn Hills.

The Pistons have won ten straight and at 26-13 overall are 2 1/2 games back from the Indiana Pacers for the best record in the East. They had their record streak of keeping opponents under 100 points broken three games back against the Mavericks and following that game Forward Ben Wallace commented that he wasn't too bothered by it so long as they keep winning.

"I don't really think we're going to miss the 100-point streak, as long as the winning streak keeps going," Ben Wallace said. "If we keep playing like this, good things are going to happen to this team."

Well the Pistons have won both games since and those games went Over by 22 and 23 points respectively. Detroit are doing a great job of getting to the free throw line which is great news when you're taking the Over.

Detroit's last five home games have averaged 184 ppg with the O/U going 3-2 in this stretch.

The Wizards have the second worst record in the East at just 10-27 overall. They have been forced to play much of the season without their two biggest offensive weapons in Gilbert Arenas and Jerry Stackhouse but in recent times have still found a way to put the ball in the bucket. Washington have played in five straight Overs and those games are averaging 190.2 ppg. More specifically their last five road games have averaged 189.8 ppg with four of those going Over the total.

Washington are 10-6 O/U this season when the total is set between 170 and 179.5 points.

We're forecasting this one to finish around the 180 mark and will recommend the Over with confidence.

    Recommended Play: Over 174
