The Oakland Athletics open their series against the Seattle Mariners tonight and we're recommending a play Over the total.
Seven of the last eight meetings between these teams have combined for at least 11 runs and we see value in playing the Over again.
While Seattle starter Freddy Garcia has an excellent 72-43 career W/L record he has often struggled against Oakland. The big right-hander is just 5-6 with a 6.02 ERA and 1.511 WHIP lifetime against the A's.
The Mariners bullpen has an ERA of 4.83 this season and have blown two of three save opportunities so we're very confident that the A's will be able to score some runs tonight.
And there is no reason why the Mariners won't be able to keep the scoreboard ticking over as well. They have scored at least four runs in all but one of their last seven games and tonight face a pitcher whom they have dominated in the past.
