    ESPN Yanks/Bosox Showdown

O.K. so it's probably a little early in the year to be calling this thing a "showdown", but ANY time these two clubs face one another, no matter where they're playing, or when they're playing.....that's exactly what it is. Toss in the added spice that the media's hypin' the shit out of this thing as "Johnny Damon's return to Boston", and the fact that these two go into this game tied in the standings, and you have the makings of an exciting evening.

Despite the fact that Sheffield is listed as day-to-day, and the added concern over Damon's recent hitting slump, these are merely a couple of cogs in the gigantic Yankee wheelhouse......The feeling here is that Boston starter Tim Wakefield, although virtually unhittable when he brings his "A-game", hasn't quite settled in as yet, and lately, has actually been "uncatchable". In his defense, the Red Sox have scored a mere 10 runs in his last 5 starts, but if that trend continues, the home boys could be in for a long night.

Let's side with the New York Yankees -120 and hope for the best......Good Luck.
    ;)
