    COLLEGE FOOTBALL

    GAME 303-304

BYU - QB John Beck (ankle) missed last game, probable.
John Beck can barely make it to classes without help, but the lack of mobility
won't stop him from playing football. The senior quarterback intends to start BYU's
showdown Thursday with defending Mountain West champion Texas Christian in
    Forth Worth.

    GAME 311-312

KANSAS - QB Kerry Meier (shoulder) missed last game, "?".
On Monday, Mangino again praised Barmann's performance in last week's victory
over South Florida but did not speculate on whether the senior will again start
in place of ailing freshman Kerry Meier. "We're day-to-day on that situation,
Mangino said. "Meier is improving and getting a lot better, but we're just not
sure how we're going to handle that. We'll go through the week and see what we're
    going to do."

    GAME 319-320

TOLEDO - QB Clint Cochran (undisclosed) missed last game, "?".

    GAME 331-332

BOWLING GREEN - QB Anthony Turner (shoulder) missed last game, "?".
Turner, who separated his shoulder September 16 against Florida
International, practiced some on Sunday. He is day-to-day for the
Falcons' game at Ohio Saturday. "He went out last night and threw the
ball around and looked OK," HC Brandon said. "If he has to go down and
brace himself and he can't do that, I'm not going to put him out there.
We'll watch him day to day and make sure he can go out and perform at
    the level he needs to."

    GAME 377-378

TENNESSEE - RB Arian Foster (ankle) missed last game, "?".

    GAME 379-380

TULANE - QB Lester Ricard (shoulder) left last game, "?".
Ricard's left hand was stepped on so badly against Houston that it was hard
from him to raise that hand when throwing the ball in practice the next week.
Against Mississippi State, he missed the Wave's final offensive series after
injuring his right shoulder after being tackled. That shoulder was injured
again by LSU, sidelining him for the final two quarters.
