The squads have split the four meetings played at Alumni Stadium, with BC winning the last game there, capturing a 21-17 win in 2001. The winner of this game is presented the Frank Leahy Memorial Bowl by the Notre Dame Club of Boston and the Ireland Trophy by the Notre Dame student government. BC’s Knight leads the nation in rushing with a 133.86-yard average. The Fighting Irish's rush defense is No. 35 nationally, allowing 120.5 yards per contest. BC leads the BIG EAST with 11 interceptions. ND has thrown 10 pickoffs this year. Notre Dame dropped a 45-14 decision to USC this past Saturday. Running back Julius Jones ran for 84 yards and a touchdown. Look for Notre Dame to slow down the rushing attack of Knight with a new defensive approach. When that happens it will force Porter to the air, which will hurt BC. I look for a strong outing from the Irish and tend to believe BC is still hung over from a bad day at Syracuse last week. Notre Dame grabs the upset here 17-13.
