  • Friday NHL and Free Weekend at EYO

    (NHL) Los Angeles@Dallas

    1* Over 5 +110

Dallas has fallen apart lately, going 0-5-2 in their last 7 overall, and allowing 3.71 goals per game. Their home offensive numbers are fine this year, but they are struggling defensively right now. Dallas has a 3.10 GFA and a 22.4% power play at home, but a 2.70 GAA and 78.6% penalty kill. Marty Turco has had his troubles as well, and has a 2.88 GAA and .888 SP in 6 career meetings with LA. As a team, Dallas allows opponents to shoot with 11.57% success this season, by far the worst in the NHL. The Stars' current defensive form will open the door for the Kings' opportunistic offense. Through 17 games this season, Ziggy Palffy leads LA with 23 points. He has an amazing 33 points (15 G, 18 A) in 26 career games against Dallas. After getting off to a slow start this season, LA netminder Roman Cechmanek has improved, but good offensive clubs will always get plenty of real scoring chances against him, especially on rebounds. He's faced Dallas just twice in his career, allowing 5 goals, and both games resulting in a tie. Billy Guerin leads Dallas with 18 points this season. Of those 18 points, 14 (11 G, 3 A) came in the 10 games on home ice. Guerin has scored on 35.5% of his SOG at home this year. The over is 5-0-0 in Dallas' last 5 at home.

    Have a great weekend.
