We like a play in the NBA on Denver at Seattle .At first look, you figure Denver could be tired after a home win
over Memphis. Seattle has been resting for a few days after
a road win over lowly Milwaukee. However there is an x factor tonighta
and firstly it’s the new combo of Carmelo Anthony and
Allen Iverson who in last night’s win over Memphis proved
for one night that two superstars can coexist on one time.
They make a great Denver team even better. We like Denver
in the Stat comparison. Denver averages 6 points more per game
on offense. But Denver does give up a bucket more than the Sonics.
Both teams on a roll. Seattle has won three straight while Denver
is on a four game winning roll, and sniffing at Utah for the division
Lead. Denver has a winning road record and a decent points per game
away average of about 105. Denver is a superior rebounding team(NBA best)
while Seatle has the NBA’s third worst field goal average. There was just
one meeting so far this season head to head. That was a 14 point
Nuggets victory in Denver December 28th, and now they have the first and
third scorers in the NBA in the lineup together. We won by playing on Denver
to cover a big spread against Memphis last night and we think they are good
for covering the two points on the road tonight. We did say last night that
we weren’t sure how long Iverson and Melo would stay hot together, but
we like what we see. Memphis’ Pau Gasol said after getting beaten badly by
Denver last night that he saw two players playing with chemistry, having fun
and in his words “a dangerous couple”. Gasol said they had difficulty because
they couldn’t just double team one of them. We see value in taking Denver
to ride this wave at least one more night in Seattle.
Our pick is Denver to win and cover as 2 point favorites At Seattle.
Get it at 2 cause it could go up
