    Army –6.0 over Temple
Army may only be 1-3 on the season, but they have played a relatively tough schedule compared to the schedule Temple has played. Temple was a 1-11 team last year and they are 0-4 so far this year and have a 4 and 46 SU record over the past 4 years..They have played a schedule averaging 64.13 by my ratings, compared to a schedule of 75.33 for Army. Temple gave up “42” points to Buffalo?….losing that game by 35 points as a 3 point favorite…Temple has been outscored on average 35 to 19 in their first 4 games and that is against a fairly week schedule. Not counting the 35 they put up in the shootout at Bowling Green, they are averaging only 14.3 points per game while giving up 31.3.

Army managed to cover the spread against two very good teams on the road at Wake Forest and Boston College. This will be there first lined home game of the season as the Akron game was on a neutral field. Army against a much tougher schedule is holding opponents to 3.71 yds per rush and 6.72 yds per pass while Temple is giving up 4.73 yds per rush and 8.01 yds per pass….Temple had –36.0 rushing against Buffalo and only 74 against Navy…Army is a passing team this year averaging 8.0 yards per completion and 210 yards per game. Army has the edge in all defensive category’s while offensively Temple only has a slight edge in the offensive rushing, which does not match up against Army’s defensive strength.

Getting away with laying less than a TD on home field against a team that is 4-46 in their last 50 games, is something that is just too good to pass up…there probably won’t be a lot of points scored, but I see it as Army 24-10……
    Diamond Line: Army –15.42
