College Hoops week of Feb.3

I went 1-2 last night with a win on Wiscy-GB and losses on L'Ville and Baylor.

Home teams still continue to get beat consistently it seems like this year in conf. action.

Baylor is overratted in my opinion and will not make the tourney after everyone saying they are improved and may make a run this year.

L'Ville just couldn't handle Uconn, and they are an impressive team. If they stay healthy and I see them maiking a final 4 run.

Tuesday:

Iowa State +12 at K-State...Cannot see why k-state is favorted here. ISU is improving as the year goes and with Brakins scoring, they are a solid choice.

UNI +3 at Bradley...close game but will take nortthern Iowa here with the points. I bought the 1/2.

Georgetown -16 vs. Rutgers...Going to bite one more time on Gtown to come out and blow-out Rutgers. Maybe a wake uop call after a bunch of losses. I don't bet heavy favs ever, but feel its justified here for some reason.


May bite on Ohio State +2 over urdue but going to wait for the line to climb a little bit more. Another one of those home dogs that looks good on paper.

Just can't seem to come out ahead.

UNLV loses by 2 SU as 5 point favs at home to a injury ridden SD St team. to foil the 3-teamer.

Missy State wins SU and cover the 1st half easily over UK.

GTown blows and I hope they miss the tourney...

UNI wins SU at bradley. Its going to be a close race bteween them at Illinois State, and Creighton for the Mizzou Valley title.

Iowa State was within 3 at one point in the second half but then chokes down the stretch to lose by 15 and miss the cover on the road. ALA what they did vs. Okie this past Saturday.

I passed on Ohio State as they are one of the few home dogs that has come thru lately. But I passed this time for once!


Wednesday:

Illinois State pk at Southern Illinois...Number show ISU by a couple. SIU is living on past rep and they are down this year. Should be a win for ISU on the road.

Indiana +3 vs. Iowa...Indy is improving and I love them getting points at home to a low-scoring Iowa team who look like they don't know what to do next when they have the ball except pass it around. Indy wins SU here.


Probably one more but going to watch the lines play out as the day goes.

Those BYU assholes cost me two 5 team, 5 pt teasers. Every time I bet against any team with "San Diego" in it's title I get screwed. It's bad karma from having lived there for 25 yrs. So it's probably my fault you lost Please accept my most humble apologies

3 out of 5 almost guaranteed since I am not putting cash on them

These are some weird lines that make you scratch your head and wonder what the hell, but the ones that usually cash! All Home teams.

Bill and Mary is the exact opposite. I read it over at Docs's sports blog and it interested me a bit. so I check it out a bit more.

Will be fun to see what happens. They have a bracket buster on tap vs. wright state on saturday coming up so they may be looking ahead too.

so hope you dont mind me covering the floor
with my thought on this game in your post.

Wisky should open a 3 point chalk at home
says my numbers.......

Wisky on a 6 game tail spin at home
with Bo Ryan giving this team Hell

Illinois facing two very tough games
this week, Wisky and Purdue.....

Illinois seems to be in a offense funk ever
since the Minny game, the hang over is still
there.

Coach Weber has been frustrated with the lack
of intensity and focus in practice, in fact he threw
a water cup and called practice off early for his
team this week.

The practices in Feb are cut back for academics

The last time these two teams played Wisky
picked up on how to stop Illinois late in the game
and I can bet they have not forgot that.

Throw out all the talk about Wisky is done for
the year, thats Horse Hockey

Illinois is not looking as sharp as the did early on
and the last two games there is something wrong
in the offensive end.

I would take Wisky straight up in this game

Go tribe- Bill and Mary win SU, WOW. I knew they covered but did not see they won. Oddsmakers knew something that we didn't.

And my leans went 3-2 as expected.


Good 3-0 night for me as Illinois state came back to win in OT after a brutal 1st half. Thats one I needed!


Indy spanked Iowa as a 3 point dog. And the teaser won even if you parlayed it with the regular spreads. Go figure.

Carpet, feel free to post in these thread anytime, thats what they are for. I like Wiscy tonight too. Line is up to 4 now, and I am sure the public is thinking what the Hell with Illinois being ranked and getting points.

I am going to parlay them on the ML with Stanford just to be safe.


Other plays for Thursday so far:

San Fran +10 (1st half) over St.Marys...STM without star and i think they will take some time to figure out how to play without him. Game line is 18 so getting a few points for SF to hang in the first half.

Portland +5.5 (1st half) over Gonzaga....Think Potland will hang all game but miss the cover by free throws at the end so I am going to bank on them to stay close until half. Just don't have the horses to hang all game with the Zags.


Also looking at Washington -1 to avenge their loss to Cal at Cal.

Cleveland State -1 at a banged up Ill-Chicago
