The Under has cashed in five of the last seven meetings between these teams which have averaged 176.1 points per game.
Seattle's last ten games overall have averaged 182.3 ppg while Utah has been combining for 173.2 ppg through their last ten.
The Sonics have won five straight games to make a late and unlikely play-off push. Their last three games have all gone Under and two of those were by more than 20 points.
Seattle are 5-13 Over/Under in a home game the last three seasons when the posted total is between 180 and 184.5 points.
The Jazz were quite sloppy last night against the Wizards and we're expecting more of the same tonight considering their hectic recent schedule. They finished a five-game road trip at Atlanta Saturday, were home last night and now have to travel to Seattle and play the second of back-to-back games.
Utah's most recent games have resulted in scores of 162, 168, 185, 166, 177, 189, 168, 171, and 161 points respectively. That's an average of 171.9 ppg or a full ten points below tonight's posted total. And they are fully aware that they must continue their solid defense if they are to keep on winning.
"We played pretty good defense and helped each other and that's why we won the game," Andrei Kirilenko said after the Jazz' beat the Wizards 85-77 last night to move a half-game ahead of Denver for eighth place in the Western Conference. "I like to be all over the place," Kirilenko said.
Utah are 14-22 O/U this season when playing against a team with a losing record.
