Is sandbagging inevitable in sports?

With sports betting growing more rapidly will blowing a game or sandbagging in sports stop? Does this happen in certain sports more than other, like Jai-Ali and NCAA?

I hope it doesn't. As long as the governing commissions keep being hard-asses on the subject, such as no vegas commercials during football games and their intolerance of players gambling, than I don't think it will happen. Everyone knows gambling is the #1 sin players don't commit, and as long as that feeling is in place, than I don't see people throwing games. I think it would happen more in 1 on 1 sports (boxing) than in team sports though.

I think it used to happen in jai alai alot and probably still does. Horse racing too. It's not as likely in my opinion with the major team sports because it's so easy to spot money coming in that seems out of place like when those Arizona hoops players did it. Colllege basketball is probably the most vulnerable.
