    Cleveland Browns - , Cleveland Browns 10/24/2006

    Maurice Carthon has resigned as the Cleveland Browns Offensive Coordinator and a news conference will occur today to announce his departure. It is unclear if Carthon stepped down or was forced out, but the Browns offense has struggled this year and Carthon had been continually called out by fans and the media for his questionable play calling and offensive direction.

    Lavar Arrington - LB, New York Giants 10/24/2006

    New York Giants linebacker Lavar Arrington (Achilles) ruptured his Achilles tendon last night against the Dallas Cowboys and will miss the rest of the season.

    Shaun Alexander - RB, Seattle Seahawks 10/24/2006

    Despite increasing pressure on head coach Mike Holmgren to bring him back this week, after losing starting quarterback Matt Hasselbeck for at least three weeks, the latest reports out of the Seattle area have RB Shaun Alexander (foot) sporting a "good chance" at returning in two weeks in a game against the Raiders. Alexander is looking to run in practice this week for the first time since injuring the foot.

    Shaun Phillips - DE, San Diego Chargers 10/24/2006

    San Diego defensive end Shaun phillips (calf) will miss the next two-to-four weeks after injuring a calf against the Chiefs last Sunday. He will be replaced in the lineup by Marques Harris.

    Oakland Raiders running back Lamont Jordan (back) will have an MRI done on his back to determine the cause of the stiff back that forced him out of week sven's game right before kickoff.

    Marcus Stroud - DT, Jacksonville Jaguars 10/24/2006

    Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Marcus Stroud (ankle) continues to labor through a bone bruise as well as a badly sprained ankle, according to Jacksonville head coach Jack Del Rio. Stroud's ailments are a big factor, as well as other key starters being banged up, as to why the once formidable Jaguars defense has turned into a bunch of pretty kitty's in recent weeks.
