Penn State is rolling up the Numbers early
this year in Non Conf play this year, infact
this team has scored more points in the first
four games than any other Penn State team
in History.
While PSU has played 4 cup cakes, and has
not been tested they did look good almost across
the board.
PSU defense is Solid, but I think Illinois option
attack Pass and Run will cause PSU some problems. (Illinois will score on this defense)
The Offense of PSU moves the ball very well
but again they have not been tested, (Illinois defense will face a stiff test in
adjusting to PSU off balance power attack)
The Biggest weakness in Penn States games
is Kick coverage. (Look for Areloius Benn of Illinois to have
some huge returns)
The crowd will be over 107,000 strong all
dressed in white (A WHITE OUT IN HAPPY VALLEY)
GUT CHECK TIME
While the line is 14 it seems over inflated.
Illinois coming off a bye week and the Coach
has called them out to play. They have some
real super star talent at key positions and
I think they will show up.
The crowd wont be a factor as Illinois plays
with a no huddle offense and relies on visual
hand signals for play calling.
I dont think Penn State will be ready for
a team as Fast as Illinois, they do have some
real talent, look for Juice to beat them with his
arm and legs every chance he can.
The Big Question mark is the defense
Is it ready to come together?
I take nothing away from Penn State, Carpet
thinks they are a top 5 Team
But this is the Big Ten and Speed kills the
Big Ten teams, The Illini are super fast.
Illinois is a solid team not playing
to its potential yet. They seem to play up to
or down to the level of team they are playing.
Maybe people are thinking Illini only beat UL Laf by a freiken Field goal, how can they hang with the lions? but atlast maybe the illini was looking ahead.
I'll wait, I love that the spread is getting bigger Betus might give me 20 by game time. They jackup the favs so bad, they had USC last nite at 27 1/2. I hope they pay for these lines. I love to play dogs on their site.
Last year this might have been a good game, but I see Penn State mopping the floor tomorrow.......Too many weapons, should be a rout.............Penn State 45-17..........Good Luck.

What a pathetically conservative defensive game plan Penn St came out with. Illinois has nothing on offense except the option yet Penn St put 4 men on the line all night long and seldom blitzed. They gave them 1st down after 1st down on that lame ass option when they could have rushed 6 guys every time and exploded that play. I guess they figured they could win easily with that game plan considering Illinois has nothing else. So not a blowout, but a 2 TD win by plan. They obviously weren't remotely interested in covering, which they could have easily done with a more ballsy game plan. But it certainly wasn't because of anything Illinois did. They lucked out in jumping to a 14-0 lead and then got creamed 38-10 even with a conservative defensive game plan. Pure luck.
I got it early at -14 and covered it up late with a halfway decent teaser, nothing to brag about........but I agree with Dragon in the fact that Penn State "was not supposed to cover" this game..........Looked a little wierd at the end, just like a lot of the NCAA games this weekend........Did you see that Wisconsin game?...........Incredible.........But kudos to you Carpet for holding out for those 16 points on your team......Nice call yet again...............Back at 'em next week guys.........Good Luck.
