WagerWeb.com POSTS ODDS ON: "WHO WILL WIN THE ASSOCIATED PRESS NFL 2004 MVP AWARD?"
(Zapote, Costa Rica, 15 September 2004)-It is hard to believe that the NFL season is already upon us and that the big party is in full swing. There are so many possibilities in a new season and one of the biggest is, "Who will be the NFL's best performer this year?" Most of the stalwarts like Peyton Manning, (Eli will have his turn soon), McNair, McNabb, Holmes, Favre, Brady, and Harrison, to name a few, are back and looking better than ever.
It could be a someone off the radar this year, or perhaps one of the favorites like Corey Dillon, the former Cincinnati Bengals RB, who now calls New England his home. Or will it be the newly un-retired, Deion "Primetime" Sanders, who plans to play a ton of offense for the Baltimore Ravens as well the at the CB position, who will shock the world. Don't count out the NFL's only three-time MVP, Brett Favre, of the Green Bay Packers, who always seems to find a way to create the magic that an NFL offensive MVP needs to possess.
"This should prove to be another banner year in the NFL and one with great offensive numbers. I think that there are at least 10 candidates who could win the AP 2004 NFL season, offensive MVP award." said Dave Johnson, CEO of WagerWeb.com. "We have had a lot of early action on Donovan McNabb, QB of the Philadelphia Eagles, Tom Brady, QB of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots, and some surprise money on Corey Dillon the newly acquired RB of the Patriots."
There is always the chance that a defensive player will win the award, and this season there is as good a chance as any with the likes of Deion Sanders, Baltimore Ravens LB Ray Lewis, Chicago Bears LB, Brian Urlacher, and Dallas Cowboys CB, Roy Williams. Whoever does win the award for the 2004 season, you can be sure he will leave behind many great memories for all football fans to enjoy.
