  • Whose got the best of this???

I know there are all kinds of wild "outlaw" propositions such as:

A bookmaker will give you a point in every NBA game if you bet the board.

However, here's one I've never heard of, and I am curious who
has the best of it. I'm guessing the house has the edge, but
you can't parlay a first half line and the game in a Vegas Sports
    Book can you?

Here it is(applies to football wagering):

The player will make 25 parlays on saturday, and plays every game on
Sunday, parlaying the team of his choice for the first half with the
    game.

    In other words:

The first half line is the game line cut in half (i.e. if Pitt is -7
in the game, they would be -3- for the first half).

If the player had Pitt in the game, it would be a parlay of pitt -3-
for the first half and pitt-7 in the game. The parlay pays 2.5 to 1
    instead of 13 to 5.

Who has the best of this? I don't think its as black and white as it
    first seems.

I never really understand the Vegas fear of not allowing parlaying
of a first half and game side or total, or their fear of taking teasers.

    Thanks in advance

    Heath

you won't get that wager down anywhere because it's correlated. If the first half wins then the odds of you winning the whole game increase to much. Think about it as a IF bet. If Pitt wins the first half then give me Pitt for the whole game. Right, see what I mean. A lot of places won't let you parlay 1st half or 2nd half lines at all.

      it's an obvious related contingency.
