Sunday I called to make a $1000 bet on Miami. After I told the operator the bet. He made me hold on and I heard him yell out for approval. They did take the bet with no problems, but I thought that was odd. That never happened to me with any other place and their supposed to be so big. Why would they have to do this? Does anyone know if the game was circled or have any other ideas?

Maybe they knew about Marino's shoulder and were looking to limit action? NAH, probably just an excited clerk hollaring out a play that the manager didn't need to know. Believe me, your 1 dime play did not faze them in the least.
