Canadian Dollar Accounts

I asked Steve at WSEX recently if they were considering $CDN accounts and he wasn't sure - I think he wanted some input on how interested people would be in this.

Personally, I would love to see them for several reasons but mostly because it makes it that much easier to send and receive funds. The conversion isn't a big deal because any bets made in Canadian dollars would be paid out in Canadian dollars (currently about 33% less than $US) - the Ontario Jockey Club has been doing this at Fort Erie for decades.

Just for interest sake here, how many people would be interested in $CDN accounts at WSEX and what other books would you like to see with this option?

Right now the only ones I know of that offer Canadian accounts are Bowmans and Intertops.

W.W.T.S. also offers Canadian residents the option of opening a $CDN account.
Many of our Canadian clients find this much more convenient, especially when it pertains to requesting a pay-out.

Of course, I'd be interested in a Canadian money account at WSEX, but I was thinking about how they would deal with the "interactives" - just a thought...

Douglas why is that an issue? If you bet in Canadian dollars then you win Canadian dollars. If you bet US then you win $US. Besides the interactives are set by Steve, it isn't parimutuel.
